SOUTHWESTERN STYLE HOMES
Sprayed foam insulation has proven to be the most effective insulation for residential construction in Colorado, Wyoming, and Eastern Kansas
SOUTHWESTERN STYLE HOMES
These homes have been insulated with this system for over 30 years with a process that originated in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The walls can be formed in two different ways:

    1. Plywood or OSB board is nailed to stick built construction. About 2 inches of high density sprayed foam is applied to the OSB board and lath (chicken wire) is then fastened through the foam and into the OSB board. Stucco or adobe is them applied to the lath for the finished look.

    or
    2. Traditional stick built construction is used to form the walls and the sprayed foam is applied inside the studwall cavities. Lath is then applied to the exterior of the OSB board and stucco or adobe is applied to the lath for the finished look.

ROOFING
Roofing on the flat roof portions is accomplished with a sprayed in place polyurethane foam roofing system using elastomeric coating or gravel surfacing for protection from sunlight.

The combination of these two systems offers a great insulating and waterproofing system, and has become a standard for this type of construction.
